Posted By: Infomashriqi Created On: 14/Dec/2015 Views: 1866 Replies: 0
December 16, 1971 was a dark day in Pakistan’s history. On this day, Pakistan lost its east wing (now Bangladesh). The 1971 war and the separation of Pakistan’s two wings could have been avoided if then President of Pakistan, General Yahya Khan, had followed the advice of Air Officer Commanding, Air Commodore M. Zafar Masud, then the top Pakistani Air Force officer in East Pakistan. Air Commodor Click here to read Full Article

Paris attacks on November 13 which took lives of 129 (risen to 132) innocent people and injured 349 are shocking and condemnable. Our hearts and prayers are with the victims and their families. The attacks are however, not completely surprising since war on terror has been raging since October 2001 and terrorism has not been controlled, what to talk of eliminated, as the architects of the war had Click here to read Full Article

When East Pakistan was being forcibly severed from the body of Pakistan by the Indian military in November-December 1971, none came to the rescue of Pakistan. The whole world quietly saw Indian Army and Border Security Force training, equipping and launching Bengali rebels (Mukti Bahini) from 59 training camps for nine months. SADLY, yet again after Charlie Ebdo attacks, France is hit by devastation. Our thoughts are with the people of France at this time of devastation and sheer insanity at the hands of a few criminals hell bent to spread terror. Religious intolerance has no place in modern day society. Message of condolences to govt of France as we enjoy a cordial relations with France and there is a lot of overseas P Click here to read Full Article

Mosharraf Zaidi in his article “Lynch mobs in India: lessons for Pakistan” in The New dated October 6, 2015 after briefly highlighting the lynching of a Muslim in Dadri (UP) on suspicions that he had eaten beef and also mentioning ongoing Indian aggression along the LoC in Kashmir has rightly pointed out that germs of religious extremism and intolerance are present on both sides of the divide. On 30th September 2015, I witnessed the best PR exercise , short but sweet speech of the General Raheel Sharif, the Chief of Army Staff at Pakistan House (London). It was triggered by the invitation of Syed Ibne Abbas a humble and obedient High Commissioner of Pakistan in London. Chief did not mince words and clearly said, ‘defeat is not an option in Zarab e Azab’ for Pakistan which was widely ack Click here to read Full Article

By the time PPP regime took over in March 2008 Fazlullah had created a state within state in Swat and adjoining districts. Former President Zardari and PM Gilani were forced to order a big operation in Swat in April 2009 after Fazlullah broke the peace deal signed two months earlier and his militants threatened Islamabad after capturing Dir and Buner. Operation Rah-e-Raast cleared Swat, Bajaur and Click here to read Full Article

General. Afghanistan is a landlocked country and dependent upon Pakistan for its exports/imports, but has traditionally remained friendly to India and unsympathetic to Pakistan since 1947. The only time it was friendly with Pakistan and unfriendly with India was during the five-year rule of Taliban from 1996 till 2001. Afghanistan under Hamid Karzai was worst of all. During his over 13 years rule, Click here to read Full Article
